Here's a video from the Aerospace Robotics and Control Laboratory at the University of Illinois showing how maneuverable these drones are. They respond to gesture control!

The drones were operated using a pair of gloves. They can fly in formation, and they can also sense people in their midst so they don't get in the way of things.

The drones can split up, and allow you to step directly into their formation and maintain it. Check it out in the video below:
