Nissan shows off the NV200 based Taxi for London. Or is this a van? Either way, it is made to look similar to the city's iconic black cabs.

The NV200 London taxi was unveiled in August 2012, and now the final version looks a whole lot different. It is part of Nissan's global taxi program, and it will spread to New York, Barcelona and Tokyo.

The London edition gets a bespoke design and includes round headlamps and a re-modelled grille mirroring the traditional black cab "face", and has LED lighting for the taxi sign.

Developed for London in London by Nissan Design Europe (NDE) in Paddington, the new taxi will be launched in December 2014 with a 1.6-liter petrol engine mated to an automatic gearbox.
