Hyundai and Kia models will include a 3G wireless service this year in the U.S., according to a report. It won't be long before this sort of thing gets offered in other countries too.

The 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan, will be the first vehicle to include the service, Mark Bartolomeo, a vice president at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, told Bloomberg. The automaker will eventually offer faster 4G, and Kia will also be offering a 3G service in the future.

The trend is leaning towards cars getting connected. Expect Mercedes-Benz and Toyota to come up with something like this too soon.

General Motors is also one of them, announcing a partnership with AT&T, with its 2015 GM models offering the option.
