The Oscars is over. Alfonso Cuarón's Gravity dominated the 86th Academy Awards with seven wins in the 24 categories. 12 Years a Slave won the ceremony's biggest honor: Best Picture.

The film beat out 288 other films eligible for Best Picture. "Everyone fell in line to tell the story," Brad Pitt, who played an abolitionist in 12 Years, said backstage to press alongside director Steve McQueen.

The film also won Best Adapted Screening and Best Supporting Actress.

"I'm so happy to be holding this golden man," Best Supporting Actress Lupita Nyong’o of 12 Years a Slave, said backstage in the press room while clutching her golden statuette.
