Honda's new Civic Type R Concept makes its debut at Geneva and it looks better in real life than in concept pictures. Next year will be its production launch, and Honda brought a thinly concealed concept version of it today.

According to Honda, most of what you see serves an aerodynamic purpose with "real" performance benefits. The quad exhaust pipes are linked to a new 2.0 liter turbocharged inline-four VTEC engine that will offer more than 280 horses to Honda's concept.

There are no performance figures as yet, but they insist that the Civic Type R is being developed to be the fastest production FWD model on the "Ring".
