Imagine a world where woman could be ambitious, speak her mind, and be in charge without being branded as trying too hard, being bitchy, or bossy?



That's the idea behind "Ban Bossy", a partnership between Sheryl Sandberg's LeanIn.Org and Girl Scouts of the USA that aims to garner support for female leadership.



The project serves to highlight on how negative stereotypes can undermine a younger girl's chances to be successful later in life and highlight the unfair differences between how girls and boys are perceived.


Besides the website, the project also aims to spread awareness via the #banbossy hashtag, educational materials, PSAs and endorsements by celebrities and others. For more info, click here.
