Facebook has bought Oculus Rift, and they're not all about gaming. In fact, it is the future of computing on virtual reality.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said as much during the Oculus VR buyout announcement on Tuesday:

"After games, we’re going to make Oculus a platform for many other experiences. Imagine enjoying a court side seat at a game, studying in a classroom of students and teachers all over the world or consulting with a doctor face-to-face — just by putting on goggles in your home.”

Zuckerberg's mission for Facebook is to help connect the next 5 billion people to the Internet. Is Facebook the next Google?

A firm called Chaotic Moon decided to work up a concept that lets you use an Oculus Rift and a Leap Motion to explore a 3D Facebook world would be like.
