The internet is packed with useful life hacks that involve aluminum foil. Since not everyone has the time to spend hours searching for them online, we've decided to compile our favourite aluminum foil hacks in to one SUPER post.
  1. For replacing dryer sheets: For static-free clothes, ball up two sheets of aluminum foil and toss them in the dryer.
  2. For polishing silverware: Use baking soda, salt, aluminum foil, and boiling water to easily clean up tarnished silver.
  3. Protecting door handles while painting: The foil will protect it from splatter and accidental painting.
  4. Rust-removal using aluminum foil and water: Rip a piece of foil in squares, dip in water and rub till the rust disappears.
  5. Scrub stubborn stains on pots and pans: Do not try this with non-stick pots and pans! Ball up some foil and use it to scrub off baked-on messes.
  6. Perfectly sealed plastic bags: Keep food from spoiling by folding the ends with foil before ironing them shut.
  7. Moving heavy furniture: Sliding the foil under the corners enables it to slide around with ease.
  8. Speedier ironing: You can iron both the front and the back of your garment simply by placing a long strip of aluminum foil on your ironing board underneath the board cover. Be careful not to singe yourself!
  9. Reheating soggy pizza: Place the pizza on the frying pan covered with an aluminum foil dome and set the stove to medium.
  10. As a makeshift funnel: Just roll it up and presto! instant funnel.
  11. For collecting and disposing cooking grease: Pour the grease from the pan into a bowl lined with aluminum foil. Once it hardens, close the foil up and chuck it out.
  12. Using AAA batteries to replace AA batteries: Add the foil on the '+' ends of the battery before slotting it in.
  13. Cleaner grills without chemicals: Ball up a sheet of aluminum foil, and use your tongs to scrape off the char.
  14. Curling pin-straight hair with a flat iron: The way this works is that the foil helps heat the hair and keeps it curled longer.
  15. Keep bananas from browning too quickly: Wrapping foil around the stems prevents them from ripening right away.
  16. Protect your pie crust: Wrapping the foil around the outside of your pie crust prevents it from burning.
  17. Sharpening dull scissors: Take the scissors and cut into a sheet of aluminum foil a couple of times to make them good as new.
