Want to make skiing or snowboarding down a slope even more terrifying? These folks from DreamScience have a crazy idea and it is called "The Thrusters". It is basically jet engines that you strap on to your person. Need more speed? Turn it on. Like nitrus!

The handheld jet engine is powered by an on-board battery pack, and it has four electric jet engines tested by paragliders, skaters, skiiers and snowboarders. Snowboarder Jamie Barrow managed to hit a top speed of 50 miles per hour when he used the prototype out to a frozen lake in Switzerland.

For now, they're still in development, and they look like stuff straight out of a James Bond movie. Watch the clip below:
