The Volvo S60 plug-in hybrid promises to be fast, spacious and highly efficient. It will make its Beijing debut this month. The model claims emissions figures as low as 50 g/km CO2 and an equivalent fuel efficiency figure of 2.1/100 km. It can sprint to 100km/h in 5.5 seconds.

The S60L plug-in features all-wheel drive that comes with lightning-fast response courtesy of the instant-acting rear-mounted electric motors.

The maximum range is 1,000 km in the most efficient driving mode and it also has a "Pure" mode that draws juice from its 11.2kWh battery pack mounted low in the boot floor.
