How often do you wash your car? Do you own a white colored one? You've got lots of upkeep to do! But if Nissan's initiatives prove to be great, then we'll want its technology too. The automaker is proposing a tech to keep your car's body as clean as possible.

Their tech is called "Ultra-Ever Dry" and uses an "innovative nano-paint technology" that repels mud, rain and everyday dirt. The problem with coatings is that they have to be re-applied after some time. Nissan says their "Ultra-Ever Dry" is a one-time application.

The paint application could make car washes obsolete! The automaker is currently testing the super-hydrophobic and oleophobic paint which will create a protective layer of air between the paint and the elements from external sources.

The tech has responded well to common use cases including rain, spray, frost, sleet and standing water.
