It pays to pay attention. Especially when your job is a life guard. YouTube user Lifeguard Rescue posted a video of a child almost droning at a pool earlier this summer. Kudos to this guy. It almost seemed impossible to spot anything in this pool:

40 seconds later, the child is seen struggling to stay afloat in the pool. He's then rescued by the lifeguard.
