News broke out lately, that McDonald's weddings are now all the rage in Hong Kong. They are so popular there, that they even offer dedicated service for couples. That's great, because I know a couple of people who have always wanted to get married there. Is McDonald's a good place to get married? Here are 10 reasons why it may just be a good idea.

1. There are so many venues available.

Worried you weren't quick enough to book that dream restaurant, or hotel? Don't worry. McDonald's has hundreds of outlets. This takes the pressure off from worrying about finding a venue.

2. Decorating the place is simple.

What color should your flowers be? Are there petals on the floor? What style should you wrap a chair in? Forget all of that. A McDonald's wedding party takes away the worry for any of that. Now you can focus on just you and your partner.

3. Free-flow Coke!!

Worried you'll run out of drinks? There's unlimited Coke at McDonald's!

4. No one will run out of fries.

What's better than peanuts? Fries of course. Who has the best, most consistent fries? McDonald's!

5. Ronald can be your wedding Emcee.mcds9.gif

Okay, so not really. mcds10.gif

We doubt this would be a good idea, but if you're up for some entertainment, Ronald will really put on a show.

6. You won't run out of nuggets.

Seriously, who doesn't love nuggets? They're everywhere at McDonald's. On the plus side, everyone is familiar with McDonald's menu, so there's no worry about anyone not being able to eat it.

7. You don't have to worry about seating arrangements.

Remember how you had to worry what your bitchy aunt will say if you sat her next to the annoying uncle you like? And remember how you can't place friends who were dating at one point at the same table? You don't have to worry. At a McDonald's wedding, they can sit, anywhere!

8. McDonald's is efficient.

mcds4.jpg

Go to one McDonald's, and you've been to just about all of them. They are the same. They are run the same. They operate in the same manner. And they, supposedly, have the same smiling service. They are efficient.

9. Everything from McDonald's can be a wedding favor.

Why give away chocolates, when you can serve up a Big Mac in a lovely McDonald's-style box? Limited edition, yo.

10. You won't have to worry about food for kids.

Worried about kids not liking the taste of McDonald's? You've got to be kidding right? Kids love McDonald's. The only thing that will be difficult is to keep them from running and screaming like banshees after drinking so much Coke.

11. It won't really feel like McDonald's.

mcds5.jpg

You'll soon forget you're at a McDonald's when the wedding starts. The magic of a wedding is not where you're holding it, but who you're celebrating it with.

12. Because even a McDonald's meal can be romantic.

mcds14.jpg

If you think eating a burger on your wedding night sucks big time, then a McDonald's wedding isn't for you. But who says eating fast food can't be romantic?

13. Being romantic doesn't mean splashing big on everything.

mcds16.jpg

You don't have to jump through ropes and hoops to show someone you love them. If it comes from the bottom of the heart, it's good enough.

14. No booze, but coffee anyone? McCafe rocks!

mcds6.jpg

The coffee here is simply fantastic. While not all McCafes and McDonald's outlets are connected to one another, you might just be lucky enough to get one that is. Better be quick on deciding which McDonald's outlet then!

15. Do you really need a wedding dress?

mcds15.jpg

I don't think you do! All you need are balloons. And lots of people. It'll just be like any other party, really, except, it's your wedding.

In Hong Kong, customers can choose from four different wedding packages, ranging from around HK$2,888 (£218) to HK$9,999 (£753). The most expensive offering include a pair of “McDonald's balloon wedding rings", “character gifts” for up to 50 guests and a McDonald's apple pie display.

Fancy a McDonald's wedding? What say you?
