Orgasms are a hard thing to come by, especially if you are a woman. Because of this, it is not uncommon for a woman to fake one. According to studies done by Indiana University, women only manage to get off 63% of the time.

In another study by Temple University and Kenyon College, they surveyed hundreds of women who had faked an orgasm at least once.

But what are the reasons behind them? Here they are:

1. They want to please you

Call it altruism, but a woman may most likely fake an orgasm just to please you. They don't want you feeling any less manly. It also sets up the mood for the deed. Don't worry if you can't make your partner orgasm. Sex is more about intimacy than anything else.

2. Women are half as likely to come

Research also shows that women are half as likely to come, especially during casual sex compared to when they are in relationships. One of the reasons for this could be the lack of comfort around someone new.

3. Sometimes, there's just no mood.

Believe it or not, mood plays a big factor. And there are a lot of things that can influence mood. If women are not quite up to it but engage in coitus anyway, chances are you won't be seeing your partner's real O face.

4. Insecurity and fear

The recipe for orgasms require the correct amount of chemicals, so it is no surprise that insecurities could make your partner feel uncomfortable. From not feeling confident to feeling anxious about something else while in the act, you might just want to skip the whole thing and talk it out instead.

5. Faking it to increase their own arousal

Your partner may fake an orgasm to increase their own arousal. Dubbed "elevated arousal", it is to increase the excitement of your sexual experience. and increase your own arousal during sexual intercourse.

It's pretty much like them giving you a helping hand of sorts.

6. Faking it to end it early

When there isn't any mood, but your partner gives in anyway, they could really just be faking it to end it early. Don't blame them for doing it. After all, you wouldn't like to do something you aren't in the mood for now would you?
