The Internet age is wonderful. You can Google just about anything and get answers for them. Sometimes, it goes too far. Like online diagnosis for example. Instead of checking in with a doctor, you check in first, with WebMd.

You might be one of these people too. You constantly check for answers on anything that seems weird, out of place, or that isn't the norm. You can't help myself. After all, the results that return come from sites that are reputable, so surely they must be correct, right?

While it is always good to be on the safe side, online diagnosing is vague. Symptoms for an obscure disease could very well be the same symptom for the common flu. We're not saying stop online diagnosing yourself every time you want some quick answers. We're just saying, don't believe everything you read online.

Here are the 5 dangers of online diagnosing.

1. You worry about anything and everything.

If you are a hypochondriac, everything will come crashing down someday.

2. Something small or unrelated suddenly becomes a big issue.

Because even the smallest mild symptom appears to be a very disease that will kill you within 24 hours.

3. There are just too many possibilities, and none of them might be true.

Seriously, it could really just be nothing.

4. You cause panic.

A bump on the arm doesn't mean the end of you.

5. Paranoia will take over your life.
