Most hotels do not intend to deceive their customers; they just want to ensure that the images are accurate, and to make the hotels look far better than they actually are. However, Eli Seidman, the founder of travel site Oyster posts a hotel's image next to one taken by his photographers to show the readers how hotel marketing images mislead travellers through clever staging, cropping and Photoshopping.
