Coffee shops in general, seem like the kind of place people would go to hoard some free WiFi. But know this: free wifi also comes with a price. Here are 5 reasons:

1. A lot of people could be connected to it, making the network sluggish.

This is a no brainer. Imagine a highway, but with more cars than it should have on. Congestion is a real thing, people.

2. Security.

An open network is not safe. How many people do you want snooping through your stuff? It could happen!

3. Too many hoops to jump through. Logging in? Yawnzz!!

You don't just connect and you're in. In some cases, you might be asked to fill in forms, which means giving out personal information like email and phone numbers.

4. Which means...they could know stuff about you.

Privacy isn't technically a thing anymore these days, but it'd be nice to have "some".

5. Sometimes it doesn't work.

The network itself isn’t a problem.  Most times, it’s the hardware. If a router needs a reboot, chances are your barista isn't going to do it for you (that quick that is.)

Don't risk being on open networks. Get your own. The PortaWiFi is the perfect companion to your Internet needs, anywhere you go. Plus, you can share too with up to 10 people. Check it out and for more on where to subscribe, check this link out.
