Public Health England (PHE) has recently encourage people to monitor their waistline to assess their risk of developing serious public health issue. This is based on a recent analysis conducted by the agency which shows that adults with a large waist are 5 times more likely to get type 2 Diabetes.

Men who have a waist circumference of more than 102cm are 5 times more likely to develop Type 2 diabetes, while women with a waist circumference of over 88cm are 3 times more likely to develop Type 2 Diabetes.

Type 2 Diabetes is a very serious health issue which lead to limb amputations or blindness. Therefore, the only way to reduce your chances of having this Type 2 Diabetes is to enjoy an active lifestyle, and eat lead a healthy diet.
