Tae Bo is developed by martial artist, Billy Blanks in 1976, and is based on the Korean word 'Tae' (meaning 'foot' or 'leg' in Korean) to represent kicking and lower body movements, and "Bo" (being abbreviation of the word 'boxing') pointing to the upper body striking and defence. Tae Bo is a combination of martial arts and boxing which offers to tone the body while giving a good cardiovascular workout. It is designed to burn fat, help with losing weight and teach some self-defence techniques.
