In 1911, he sent a touching letter to Nobel Prize-winning scientist Marie Curie. She was facing a lot of criticism about her personal life, you know, the kind of stuff that science discoveries doesn't have anything to do with!

This is what he said to Curie:

If the rabble continues to occupy itself with you, then simply don’t read that hogwash, but rather leave it to the reptile for whom it has been fabricated.
