Being an actor in Hong Kong seems like a demanding job, because it seems that almost every one on the popular list stars in one or two movies a year. It also sounds like some great job security of course. Here are some of the actors and actresses who just keep returning year after year.

1. Chow Yun Fatt

His IMDB list of movies isn't just long, sometimes he's got more than one movie coming out in a year. In 2015, he'll be starring in "From Vegas to Macau II". His previous movies last year were "The Man From Macau" and "The Monkey King".

2. Andy Lau

It would seem that Andy Lau is the real-life example of Benjamin Button. Or a George Clooney-equivalent. This guy just keeps getting better looking as he ages. While he didn't make a movie last year, in 2013 he did 4 movies! "The Bodyguard" is currently filming and slated for release this year.

3. Tony Leung Chiu Wai

While Tony Leung doesn't really take up a ton of projects, and most if not all of his films are never in the current age or time (the stories usually take place in the past or the future), this guy only took a break in 2010 and 2014. Other than that, he's had some work every other year. His latest was "The Grandmaster."

4. Sammo Hung

Sammo Hung may be oldish, but he's one hardworking fella. He's been working for 9 years without taking a break. In 2015, he'll be reprising his role as Wong Po in SPL 2: Rise of Wong Po.

5. Donnie Yen

Donnie Yen started out as a fight choreographer but soon turned action star. It was surely one of his best career moves ever. For example, in 2015 ALONE, he'll be starring in 6 MOVIES. Here are the titles, and they are sure to excite you:

Dragon City, The Master, Noodle Man, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend, Iceman 2 and An Inspector Calls.

6. Louis Koo

If you thought Donnie Yen was sorta overworked, Louis Koo starred in 7 MOVIES LAST YEAR. In 2015, and bare in mind we're only in January, he's got 5 under his belt.

7. Sammi Cheng

Sammi Cheng may not exactly belong in this list, but she's most often in a lot of the movies people love. This year she'll be coming out in "Triumph in the Skies."

8. Simon Yam

Simon Yam will be in as many movies as he can. He averages 3 to 4 movies a year. In 2015, he'll only do 3 (YAWN), and he did 3 as well in 2014, but in 2013 he did 7 movies, and 5 in 2012. There's more too, but we won't bore you anymore.

9. Jackie Chan

You can't have a list of most common and popular Hong Kong actors without mentioning Jackie Chan. This guy hasn't been without a job or something to do since 1970. I kid you not. Every year since then, there was always something he would be involved in. EVERY YEAR.
