It may be outrageous to think selfies need a safety guide, but then again, this is Russia we're talking about. There have been over 100 selfie-related injuries this year alone, and we're only halfway through the year.

The Russian Government released a public awareness campaign this week to warn people of the dangers of taking selfies.

The whole idea came about when officials noted the number of accidents caused by self-photography, and the fact that it is increasing.

So they wanted to come up with a way, or a guide, rather, to help people take better precaution.

The "Safe Selfie" pamphlet was released by the Russian Interior Minister's office.

"A cool selfie could cost you your life."

Last month, a bunch of Russian teenagers were "set on fire" while trying to take the "ultimate selfie."

So before you decide that a selfie could be cool...
