Whoever said women were the weaker sex surely has to have their head examined. Here's a list of women from history so badass you'll not even have the thought of messing around with them. They battle, they plunder, they're badass women from history:

1. The Trung Sisters - (Trung Trac and Trung Nhi). The original heroines of the first Vietnamese Independence Mvement. They headed a rebellion against Chinese Han-dynasty overlords.

2. Li Xu gathered civilians and led them in battle against rebels in the Ningzhou province of China. They gave up after 7 years and now there's a city named in her honor.

3. Tamar of Georgia "Queen of Kings and Queens, Glory of the World, Kingdom and Faith, Champion of the Messiah, may God increase her victories." Those were the inscriptions on the 13th century Georgian coins. After her father died, she became the king (not Queen) and successfully ruled over Georgia crushing any patriarch opinion coming her way. People plotted against her but she prevailed.

4. Tomoe Gozen, a 12th century warrior woman slashed her way to samurai stardom by leaving severed heads and several manga series in her wake. She was an excellend archer, horseback rider, and was sent to the front lines most of the time.

5. Elizabeth Stokes made a career out of boxing in the 1720s after she won over Hannah Highfield after a 22 minute fight. Equivalent of a Ronda Rousey at that time?

6. Madame LeBrun Louise was a prominent French painter. Her self portrait became scandalous because her teeth were visible. She managed to flee the French Revolution to Russia, and continued painting there.

7. Juana Galan refused to let Napoleon have his way when he invaded Spain. She rallied and gathered all the women and ambushed the French army. They fought hand to hand with clubs, batons, iron cookware and more which led his troops to withdraw from the La Mancha region.

8. Lydia Darragh was one of the finest secret agents in America. During the American Revolution, the British decided to reside in Lydia's house, giving her an opportunity to eavesdrop on them. She passed on the secret information to American soldiers, saving her nation from invasion.

9. Josephine Baker was a famous fashionista back in the 1900s. But during World War II, she used her fame to lure the Nazi Officials and turned over all the information she acquired to the French Resistance.

10. The Night Witches: Russian fighter pilots responsible for inflicting heavy damage on German soil. They flew dangerous planes that were known for shutting down midair, and had a penchant for idling their crafts above enemy territory to drop bombs. They completed hundreds of missions.

11. Parisa Tabriz, the white hat hacker who works for Google, detected a weakness in their security and protected millions of users from having their data stolen. She leads a team of 33 and her business card says "Securty Princess."
