Once upon a time, between 1979 and 1990, McDonald's was on the forefront of what a lot of brands are trying to do today: they were publishers too, on top of being one of the largest fast food chains in the world. The magazine was called McDonaldland Fun Times.

It was meant...for children.

But what's more scary is that is that it just looked freaky.

mcdmag8.jpg

"This animal isn't in your burgers too. Smile."

mcdmag9.jpg

"Exercise, because when you're hungry, you'll want 3 Big Macs."

mcdmag10.jpg

mcdmag11.jpg

"We don't serve dolphins. Yet."

mcdmag12.jpg

"Space. Burgers. Yeah."

mcdmag13.jpg

So did kids really read this stuff?

mcdmag14.jpg

Do you remember anything about it?
