It looks like you can't just adapt stuff from the 80s and expect it to be a big hit. The movie bombed at the Box Office, only opening with just $1.3 million. The only other word that can be used to describe it is: abysmal. And failure.

You probably could have guessed its failure because of the whole premise and this picture:

It's the worst wide opening weekend ever for a movie by a major studio. No amount of marketing muscle could have saved it.

Would you go watch Jem And The Holograms?

   Hell no. I've got better things to do.
