Also referred to as “Brajbhoomi”, Mathura is the birthplace of Lord Krishna and is situated on the banks of River Yamuna. The major attractions in Mathura include, Krishna Janma Bhoomi Mandir, Jama Masjid, Kusum Sarovar, etc. You can reach Mathura from Delhi in 182.3kilometres via Taj Express Highway. An ancient historical town in the Alwar distict of Rajasthan, Neemrana is on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. Located in the heart of the ‘golden triangle’, Neemrana hosts the Neemrana Fort Palace, which is known for its magnificent construction and unmatched magnificence. The majestic fort spreads over almost 15 hectares, and finds itself in the Aravalli ranges. The fort has now been turned into a luxury resort, showcasing a spectacular blend of traditional Rajasthani and modern styled interior. With its pools and hanging gardens, and beautiful rooms, it is touted as an ideal destination for a break from the city humdrum. 

A part of the Bharatpur district, Deeg is said to be a part of Lord Krishna’s Parikrama path. It is known for its alluring gardens, forts, fountains, and palaces. Deeg Palace is 32kilometres from Bharatpur in Rajasthan, and takes about four hours to reach from Delhi, and one hour from Mathura. Deeg Palace is open 9am to 5pm except on Fridays. Deeg also hosts a number of ‘Havelis’ from the late 17th and early 18th century. Most of these have been inspired by the Mughal architecture, and are built in marble.
