So, you can use your new device to the best of its potential!

The Blaze is more than just a mere replacement for the most awaited fitness item, the Fitbit Smartwatch. If you’re looking to set up your Blaze, then we have some tricks up our sleeve. After launching back in 2016, the Blaze has been quite a rage among the fitness community

It is a great fitness device that you should use today as you probably know what pollution can do to your physique. However, there is not much that people know about it. The blaze can be used in a variety of ways. If you’re new to it and are looking to learn more about the device, read on. Here are five tips and tricks about the Fitbit Blaze.

1. Sleep Monitoring

Something that most working people lack these days is a proper sleeping pattern. You can use your Blaze to track exactly how much of sleep you’re getting every night. However, there is more to the sleep monitoring technology on your Fitbit Blaze. You can now change the sensitivity of the feature. When it comes to the modes of this sensitivity, there are normal and sensitive. If you’re a heavy sleeper, for example, you will probably have to turn to the sensitive mode. This also applies if you are someone that moves around a lot in their sleep. Learn what works for you and go from there.

2. Use GPS Mode

Although it's unfortunate that the Blaze does not come with a built-in GPS feature, there is a way you can access it. You can use your smartphone to do so. First, enable the Bluetooth and GPS functions on your phone. After that, go to the Blaze device and look for the Exercise screen where you’ll see all your tracked activities (such as running, hiking, cycling, etc). Click the button that is symbolized as a cog and you will be directed to click another button that will enable you to use the phone’s GPS. This feature is called ConnectedGPS made by Fitbit for devices that don’t have it built in.

3. Interact

You can use your Blaze to interact socially with your friends. How do you ask? Well, for instance, you can challenge them to various competitions. With the Fitbit Blaze, you will be able to compete with your friends on different activities and see who wins weekly. To start you will have to add your friends in order to interact. What this interaction does is that it helps you be motivated. If you’re feeling low on achieving your fitness goals, just see what a little competitiveness can do. Your activities will be reaching high rates in no time.

4. Exercise Shortcuts

Although only the running exercise mode is customizable, there are many modes available on the Blaze. For instance, it offers cycling, weights, workouts, amongst others as defaults. There is a downloadable Fitbit app that enables one to add or remove any exercises. Just click the Blaze icon and move to the Exercise Shortcuts category. The running mode can be customized according to what basis it is like time-based for example. Although there are many exercises to choose from you can only enable seven modes at a time.

5. Get Accurate Info

Getting the most accurate fitness data from your body is the most important goal of the Blaze. Which wrist you choose to wear the device can also have a huge impact on how data is collected. For example, the Blaze is set to default to collect data according to the hand that is the least dominant. That is, if you are a right-handed person, you would wear the device on the left hand. However, if you want data to be collected according to your dominant hand (right) then you can change that in the settings.
