The Touch ID on your iPhone 5S is going to make life a whole lot more convenient. All you have to do is place your finger to unlock your phone.
But could Apple also implement a scan, or even a passcode scan to turn the iPhone off? It would probably be the best theft preventive measure.

The first thing that most thieves do when they steal an iPhone is to turn it off, so you can't track the phone down with "Find My iPhone" app. A fingerprint scan to turn the phone off would probably be the single biggest deterrent to that.

Maybe we'll see it in iOS 7.1?
