Hyundai is showing off the 1000hp Genesis Coupe at the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas. They are also bringing in a custom BGR Night Racer concept based on the Hyundai Veloster Turbo.

The racecar is designed specifically for time attack races at night racing circuits. It features a vivid yellow paint scheme dubbed Yellowcake and was created by BGR together with paint experts at PPG and Barry's Speed Shop.

Bisimoto Engineering – which also collaborated with Hyundai on the 1000hp Genesis – boosted the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine’s output to 250 horsepower. The car features a custom interior developed by Katzkin with Takata racing seats and harnesses.

“Veloster Turbo provides an ideal tuning platform for enthusiasts who want to modify their cars,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “EGR created a very special night-focused time attack car that perfectly showcases Veloster Turbo’s inherently sporty DNA,” he added.
