Google wants to make its own car, but before that happens, they've patented gesture control in cars. Their sensor laden self driverless car prototypes will now learn to recognize your hand movements.

The company filed for a patent for a system that can read hand motion via a ceiling mounted depth camera and a laser scanner. It uses your gestures to control various features inside the car without having to push the buttons or even use your voice.

Google has already acquired hand gesture recognition app startup Flutter, that will be used to control Mac and PC functions.

Check out how hand sensors are insanely accurate. A nice welcome to cars of the future? What do you think?
