Earth Unplugged wanted to find what are some of the fastest things on the planet, and then compare that with a bullet. The result? The fungus Pilobolus won the bullet.

In terms of acceleration, each spore may only reach 20km per hour when it blasts off its feces fortress,  but it gets there in two microseconds.
