The biggest challenge for humanoid robots now is walking. Engineers have had a hard time making one that can take strides and roll each foot heel-to-toe. Up until now.

Texas's A&M's Amber robotics lab just unveiled their latest version of a walking robot named AMBER 2. Its feet are designed to perform like human feet and they take steps like a human, touches its heels down like a human and rolls its toes like a human and lifts off again like a human.
