Marking the 50th anniversary of Rolex’s Daytona model,

Christie’s auction house held a single-themed event dealing with 50 outstanding examples of the Rolex Daytona model.

Judged meticulously on the merit of bezels, hands, buckles and bracelets down to the screws, the event in Geneva wrote history with each and every lot exceeding the pre-sale estimate.

The most expensive was a singular stainless steel Paul Newman model manufactured in 1969 sold for the astonishing price of $1,088,889 USD.Check out the scenes below:
