According to studies, sodas and some coffees have some obvious negative health effects compared to tea. So if you're looking for another reason to switch to tea, it turns out that drinking it can ease the effects of stressful psychological conditions like depression.
Researchers in Japan found that drinking tea correlated with reduce psychological distress. In a sample of 1,058 residents, they found a lower prevalence of depressive symptoms.
While the sample base isn't particularly huge, switching to tea can reduce both the amount of caffeine and high-fructose corn syrup in your diet, which in turn can help reduce psychological stress.
