It took a while for Barbie to introduce other races to their line of shapely dolls. But the results aren't exactly the most realistic representation of a woman's body.

To highlight this, Atlanta-based photographer Sheila Pree Bright decided photoshop portraits of real women of color with images of Barbie dolls.

The series titled "Plastic Bodies" serve to emphasize the disconnect between commercialized beauty ideals and real women. Check out the rest of the jarring pictures below:
