2013.12.09
If you think only guys with boner problems need these little blue pills, think again. New research has found a link between erectile dysfunction drugs and treating menstrual cramps.
The study from Penn State College of Medicine and Nova Gradiska General Hospital in Croatia found that sildenafil citrate (which is sold under the brand name Viagra) may is useful in treating primary dysmenorrhea, the most common cause of pelvic pain in women.
After administering sildenafil citrate vaginally, they found that it managed to reduce the pelvic pain for some participants. Right now, the exact reason why sildenafil citrate reduces pain in women suffering from PD still is not fully understood. But it may have to do with the pill's ability to dilate blood vessels, which in turn helps increase blood flow.
