The BMW i8 M8 idea is not dead yet. Autobild says that a supped up version of the 4.4 liter twin-turbo motor might still be a possibility.

The proposed M8 has a projected power figure of around 600PS, and is purportedly hitting the market in 2016. It would launch to 100km/h in three seconds, and has a top speed of 320km/h. Its styling would be different from the i8 too.

Just when will we see prototypes of it? Sounds exciting!
