We've heard of trains going off their tracks before. Can tragedies like these be avoided? The Precision Train Control system may be able to prevent all of this.

The system is an automated train speed control system, and it tracks a train's location via the Nationwide Differential Global Positioning System (NDGPS). It can limit a vehicle's speed depending where it is on the line, and furthermore, increase fuel efficiency while reduce wear and tear on the vehicles.
