When a loved one passes away, we often use photographs as a way of keeping that person's memory alive. But this particular photoshoot stands out as both a touchstone of the past and a reminder of how life moves forward.

Shortly before Ben Nunnery married his wife Ali in 2009, they had purchased a home together. Their wedding photos were shot inside the empty home as a way to represent the life they would build and share within its walls.

Sadly, just two years after the wedding, Ali died of cancer leaving behind a grieving husband and their little girl Olivia. Ben eventually decided to move out of the home to find a more suitable place for just the two of them.

As a sort of "farewell" to the house the family once shared, Ben decide to hire the same photographer who shot his wedding photos, and mimic the same poses with his daughter. Be sure to view the rest of the photos here.
