No one wants to get old. That's why the beauty industry is rife with all kinds of "solutions". From botox to wrinkle creams to hair dye to appear younger, while we can delay looking our age, we can't stop our bodies from the process itself.

Scientists at Harvard think it is possible to stop the process. They have developed a natural chemical that successfully turned old mice into young mice. That's right. They Benjamin Buttoned some mice.

The experiments revolves around what happens to cells as we get older. They lose oxygen, and without it energy levels decreases and then, everything eventually stops working. NAD - a naturally occuring chemical in our body drops to about half of what our body creates as we age. The same thing happens in mice too, so scientists created NAD by using young mice cells.

They injected two year old mice with the younger version of NAD, and after a week took tissue samples of those mice. The samples revealed them to be younger, - six month old like mice.

According to them, in perspective of human years, that's the equivalent of taking a 60 year old and turning him into a 20 year old. There were no side effects to using NAD to reverse the aging process, simply because it is a naturally occurring chemical in the body after all.

Trials are probably far away from here, but like every discovery, this is the first step. How long do you want to live for?
