Is it pointless to try to drag race a Nissan GT-R? EVO magazine decided to find out if the new Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet could be a worthy adversary.

Porsche's newcomer, the 911 Turbo Cabriolet, has a 513hp (520PS) turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer that shoots it to 100km/h (62mph) in 3.5 seconds or 3.3 seconds with the Chrono package and the Sport Plus function turned on (manufacturer figures).

Nissan's GT-R, widely regarded as one of the best/fastest stock cars ever on a straight line, gets a 542hp (550PS) 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, which according to the Japanese automaker, allows it to pass the 100km/h (62mph) yardstick in just 2.7 seconds.
