Chill out everyone. Earth will remain habitable for a while more - up to two billion years. That's what scientists discovered after using a 3D model to look at a variety of factors that would affect how long more we can stay here.

The model looked at future atmosphere, oceans and land and considered how the sun, over time, will radiate more heat into space. Scientists from the University of Colorado simulated this into their model, taking three factors into place and calculated a new number. We won't have to look for Earth 2 for at least 1 to 2 billion years.

Still, that doesn't mean we don't have to leave the planet someday. Time to start looking anyway.
