Pioneer has created a heads-up display to help keep our eyes on the road and off other screens. This is their ND-HUD01.

The display is transparent and meant to be mounted over your windshield. The idea around it is to create less distraction during driving, which accounts for a whole lot of deaths on the road.

The ND-HUD01, which was just unveiled at CEATEC 2013, uses Pioneer's older heads-up display models. The newest model has GPS navigation features, time, vehicle speed and other essentials. It eliminates the need for a standalone GPS device or a phone GPS which would require you to take your eyes off the road to look at it.

The HUD will attach to the top of your windshield and resemble a thin, rectangular glass panel that has a digital readout with updates in real time.
