Researchers from the University of Michigan are going to pack your phone full of wax soon. The reason for that is that it will make processors more efficient by covering the chip in a mesh of wax which, when the processor is pushed, will be able to absorb some of the excess heat it produces.

Researchers believe this will let mobile processors run faster for longer.

Mobile chips tend to use a sub-set of their transistors to avoid overheating. The wax idea could provide a way for transistors to increase its speed. Massively too.
