Business cards are kind of archaic, but people still use them anyway. There needs to be a way to transfer the data from a business card to your contacts hassle free. The folks at TouchBase just made the business card a whole lot smarter.

To access someone's contact info, just tap the business cards on your smartphone's display. TouchBase's cards feel like any other business cards but are embedded with a conductive ink that mimics a multi-touch gesture on a smartphone's display. Check out how it works below:

They use an online web app so you don't have to download it. The business cards can be purchased through TouchBase. Users will be able to customize their cards and even upload custom designs if they wish.

TouchBase has just launched its service via the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, and it's hoping to raise $30,000 to get the ball rolling.
