4K is getting real, and soon you'll be owning a monitor that supports the format. Still, it is absurdly expensive to buy one. Now, Dell's Ultrasharp 28 inch 4K screen can be yours for less than $700 USD.

The price of 4K monitors are dropping. Asus and Lenovo are also launching 28 inch 4K monitors that will cost around the same price. And while that's still a lot of money to spend, compare that to the price last year - Sharp's 32 inch version was going for $4,555.

In related news, Vizio is debuting a $1,000 50-inch 4K TV, for example—and prices are only going to drop as 4K becomes more prevalent.

Dell's Ultrasharp will come with a color depth of 1,073 billion colors and a 170 degree viewing angle. Launches on January 23. [PC World]
