The next Dell laptop you buy in the future might just include wireless charging. They want to become the first PC maker to back The Alliance for Wireless Power.

The alliance calls for a standard for wireless charging of devices that need anywhere from 20 to 50 watts of power. The concept will use something called Rezence, which uses magnetic resonance to charge laptops and other devices at the same time.

The idea is to create a world that is "always on, and always connected". A specific standard for wireless charging is important so that every other device can be charged in the same way.

How long more do we have to wait for this? And will wireless charging be slower, the same or faster than cord charging?
