It's not uncommon to see restaurants take over spaces that used to be offices, private residences, factories, warehouses, and other things. But an old chapel?

The Jane restaurant was set up in a former chapel in Antwerp, Belgium. Amsterdam-based studio Piet Boon revamped an old military hospital church to create the perfect setting for exclusive dining. The space sports a dramatic modern design, peeling paintwork preserved in perfect conditions, and patterned tile floors to combine a vintage design line with stunning contemporary elements.

An intriguing light installation in the shape of a grinning skull hangs above the dining area, while the chapel's former alter is now the kitchen. Check out the gorgeous interior below:
