Overhauling even a small bathroom could require you to pay thousands of dollars, labor costs included. However, this project does not necessarily have to break the bank. In this post, we are going to talk about some of the tips and suggestions that would help you achieve the look that you want for your bathroom. Here are some of them:

1. Use Premium Materials

Ordering high end materials could take at least a couple of weeks to arrive. So, before you grab a hammer to do the remodeling yourself, make sure that everything that need is on hand. It can be really frustrating to wait around for some tiles to arrive but what’s more frustrating is to tear everything apart, resulting in an unusable bathroom.

2. Install a Vanity

A vanity in the bathroom is a must-have if you want to have an upgrade. More than aesthetics, it serves an important function. Especially if you have a generous amount of space, a vanity will be an excellent idea. Choose materials and colors that will complement the overall look of the bathroom.

3. Build a Shower Storage

Everyone wants to have an in-shower storage for the soap, shampoo, body wash, and razors. Remodeling your bathroom would mean that you no longer need to settle for cheap plastic units that you hang from the showerhead. If you fancy buying gas tankless water heater, it is also a great addition to your bathroom, as they literally don’t take up floor space.

4. Upgrade the Lights

Having your bathroom remodeled would not be complete if you still have outdated light fixtures. Plan this ahead so you would know if the lights work out well in terms of illumination while you are bathing. One thing that you need to be sure of is that these lights should be rated for bathrooms.

5. Get a Curved Shower Rod

This might seem like a small detail in overhauling your bathroom, but you might be surprised at the amount of freed up space in your shower. They might be a little pricey than standard ones, but they look good firmly attached to the wall instead of tension. With this, you won’t need to worry about it getting pulled down.

Doing these suggestions would go a long way, especially if you are on a time restraint. It is also important that you first know the overall costs, parts and labor included, to see if you are beyond your budget. Remodeling an entire bathroom will never be cheap so it is vital that you consider all your options wisely.
