Child weddings are a horrible thing, no matter where they happen. A few days ago, a blog popped up, run by a 12-year-old, detailing all her excitement for her upcoming wedding. Needless to say, it caused quite an uproar.

Thea, is 12.

She is going to marry her 37-year-old fiance, Geir.

She made a blog about it, and it apparently became Norway's most read blog in a single day.

On it, she posted pictures of the church they were getting married at, and her trying out cakes, flowers and more. You can even "attend" the wedding on Facebook if you like.

But before you freak out, like everyone else in Norway and around the world, this was actually a viral campaign to stop child weddings.

Thea's blog links to a campaign by Plan International and the campaign aims to highlight the 39,000 children who are forced into marriage every day.

Needless to say, a very powerful message indeed.
